Giving up on New York 2140 by Kim Stanley Robinson. Usually love his books, but this is a mess of a novel. Story is all over the place and characters are two-dimensional. Really doesn’t read like him.

No iPhone X for me. Rational reason is cost saving, but there’s something else. I struggle with staring at my screen when life is happening around me, and an iPhone that’s all screen is a metaphor too clear to ignore. So checking out of the upgrade race this year.

Finished Red Oaks last night. Probable the best summer tv show I’ve seen. Enjoyed it a lot, and it even made think a few times. Hight recomended (it’s on Amazon).

Flying from SJO to Miami. Empty seat next to me, but not looking good. At least there’s not carry-on space drama.

Facial ID that requires you to mouth a password — using micro expressions — sounds like iPhone 8 stuff.

Baby Driver is a fun and exciting ride with a soundtrack that has so much character, it’s borderline a musical.

Highly recommended.

The new Hulu AppleTV app is so bad, it finally pushed us to cancel subscription (and we do watch a few shows).
